Perfect Transfer Record Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Manchester United have a perfect transfer record under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Norwegian has vastly improved the squad since he took over in December 2018, with all of his transfer decisions having proven successful.
In terms of acquisitions, each of Solskjaer’s moves have worked wonders in his team.
Harry Maguire has not only provided consistency in the centre of United’s defence, but has also become captain of the side with his incredible mentality.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has also been a marvelous addition, greatly improving the team’s defensive abilities. He has filled a position perfectly which has not had a world-class occupant since Gary Neville left in 2011.
Daniel James has become a fantastic bargain, having signed from Swansea City for just £15 million. He has the most assists in the United side this season with sixth his name, and has been a great outlet down the wing.
More recently, both Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo joined the club, and each has been successful.
Fernandes has shown to have a profound impact on the team as a whole, as well as providing his individual quality. The Red Devils have not lost a match since his debut.
Ighalo has also been a great signing. Coming in on loan as a seemingly rushed, last-minute January move, he has proven his doubters wrong. The Nigerian already has four goals in his new outfit and may have earned himself a permanent move to the North of England.
And, on the front of sales, Solskjaer has done equally well, offloading deadwood such as Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, and Matteo Darmian.
Dalot Struggling for Game Time
Although the signing of Wan-Bissaka has turned out well, it has negatively impacted Dalot. Between injuries and the added competition, the Portuguese has not started in the Premier League this season.
The interest from Barcelona and PSG certainly deserves consideration from the youngster who has huge potential. While he may become United’s first choice at right-back one day, or switch to being a winger, Dalot does not have the current attraction of United appearances. Despite this, the Red Devils are keen to keep him around, clearly aware of the promise he shows.
