Manchester United’s Gain if Borussia Dortmund Lift the Bundesliga Title

Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund went within a point’s reach from Bayern Munich at the top of the Bundesliga table after yesterday’s victory. Goals from Erling Haaland, Raphael Guerreiro and Thorgan Hazard sealed the victory against Schalke in the Revier derby.

The Bundesliga title race is a tight one. Only five points separate the top four sides. The German top tier is thus predicted to go down to the wire.

Meanwhile, there will be some people in the red half of Manchester who could be monitoring German football closely. The simple link? Their pursuit of the next big thing in world football – Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United’s Gain in Borussia Dortmund Lifting the Bundesliga Title

Dortmund Can Easily Find a Replacement

If the Black and Yellow win the Bundesliga title, it will be easier for them to find a replacement for Sancho. This may ease the negotiations between Manchester United and the German club for the English starlet.

A title win would be enough to attract some serious European talent. Also, the club will get a lot of confidence in the Champions League next season and this would be another reason why the players around the world could keep an eye on a move to Signal Iduna Park.

Surely, if this situation occurs, the odds of United landing Sancho would see a spike.

United Could Land a Bundesliga Champion

On the other hand, the Red Devils will also get a major psychological boost by the probable Dortmund title win.

Jadon Sancho will be a proven winner in Germany and will head to the Premier League club with bigger ambitions. Considering United’s current position on the league table, they would surely like a champion from another nation join their ranks.

Currently, despite being the hottest young property in world football, Sancho has only won the German Super Cup last season. This is equivalent to the Community Shield in the Premier League and is thus not very competitively relevant.

A Bundesliga title this season could really put an end to his thirst for glory in German football and the 20-year-old could then set his sights on newer ambitions.
