Looking for a Striker
Manchester United are looking for a striker in the summer, with Anthony Martial potentially on the move.
Inter Milan, to whom United sold Romelu Lukaku last August, might lose fellow striker Lautaro Martinez in the near future, with Barcelona strong candidates to land him, and they would like Martial as a replacement.
While not a clinical striker, the Frenchman has still been exemplary for the Red Devils this season, especially since the injury of Marcus Rashford.
This has caught the eye of the Italian side and, should Martial join them, he would become the fourth player to switch Old Trafford for the San Siri in the space of a year, with Lukaku and Ashley Young having made that move permanently and Alexis Sanchez on loan.
Anthony Martial Impressive
Anthony Martial has had an extremely impressive season; his influence on teammates has been just as important as that of his individual performances.
The 24-year-old has 11 Premier League goals this season, 16 in all competitions, making him the Manchester side’s second top scorer.
Furthermore, during his injury in September, the Red Devils looked void of any attacking threat; Rashford, whose opening few games of the season had brought much success, struggled for goals. The return of Martial saw a vast improvement in form, though, with the young pairing’s partnership clearly a good one.
Moreover, with the Frenchman having formed a great relationship with new-comer Bruno Fernandes, he has enjoyed his time in Manchester this season, and should not see too much more in Milan than he does at the Theatre of Dreams.
Harry Kane Would Cost Manchester United Dearly
With Tottenham Hotspur valuing Kane at roughly £200 million, United have been greatly put off. They are also looking to fund transfers for Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham, all of which would cost a significant amount of money, so would struggle to fund a record move for Kane when the transfer window opens.
