It seems that now is the time for the Spurs talisman to depart Spurs in search of a new challenge for a number of reasons.

An Extensive List of Clubs to Choose From
Many clubs remain interested in Kane this summer. Although, it appears that Manchester United are currently leading the race to sign the 26-year-old striker.
United are, as reported by the Daily Mail, willing to match Daniel Levy’s £200 million asking price to sign Kane. They may also offer up to £350,000 a year in wages, according to Metro.
However, top clubs still maintain their own interest in the accomplished finisher. Real Madrid wants Kane as a replacement for Luka Jovic, who endured a disappointing first season for Los Blancos (The Sun).
Earlier in March, Italian giants Juventus looked interested in signing Kane (The Sun). Meanwhile, Manchester City also wanted to compete for Kane’s signature (Manchester Evening News).
With just over four years left on his current contract, a high fee will be required to secure Kane’s transfer from Spurs. Only the handful of clubs in world football, with substantial finances, will be able to afford the 26-year-old.
Help Tottenham With Finances
Due to the financial impact of coronavirus, Daniel Levy may sell Kane in an attempt to soften the economic blow to the club (Daily Mail).
Spurs continue to pay off their new stadium, which cost around £1 billion, while the club also owes £83 million in transfer fees (Daily Mail).
If any clubs were to match Levy’s £200 million valuation of Kane, then the sale would offset a number of debts the club owes.
Alternative reports suggest that the club will not sell Kane this summer (Sky Sports). But it is difficult to see how Spurs will continue to operate without some major financial input in the coming months.
Time for a New Challenge
Harry Kane’s goal-scoring record is outstanding, but he is yet to win a major trophy.
Since making his breakthrough season in 2012, Kane scored 181 goals for Spurs in all competitions.
He won the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup and was top-scorer in the Premier League for consecutive seasons between 2015-2017.
It seems like Kane is willing to leave Spurs this summer. In March he made his future intentions clear when speaking about Spurs.
He said: “I’ve always said, if I don’t feel we’re going in the right direction then I’m not someone who will just stay for the sake of it.

The odds are stacked against Spurs keeping Kane this summer. Financial issues, poor league form under Jose Mourinho and Kane’s own ambition to leave signal that he wants a move this summer.
