Carlo Ancelotti Interested in Ambitious Signings

Carlo Ancelotti arrived at Goodison Park following the sacking of Marco Silva. A surprising appointment, the Italian had managed clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, he was now taking the reins in Merseyside.

His appointment has been largely successful so far, with overall good results raising the Toffees to 12th. While this is not particularly impressive, especially for a club of the Toffees stature, they were in the relegation zone at the time of Silva’s sacking, giving Ancelotti a challenging job.

Other than results, the decorated manager has also brought with him ambition. Tom Gott of 90min reported that they were considering moves for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey of Juventus. Both of these players are rather high profile, and while Ancelotti makes this deal more likely, it will still be an uphill struggle with other top clubs interested.

Similarly, this report now states that they will challenge Manchester United for the signature of Jack Grealish.

Less Interest Now In Jack Grealish From Old Trafford

Manchester United have been chasing Jack Grealish for a long time. The Englishman has shown his class for Aston Villa this season as the newly promoted side fight for their Premier League lives.

Despite his quality on the pitch, Grealish’s attitude off it has been historically poor, and his most recent scandal involved breaking quarantine during the Coronavirus pandemic, and crashing his car while driving drunk.

This may throw Ole Gunnar Solskjaer off, not wanting a player without the right attitude, and could open the door for Everton to pull off this unlikely swoop.
