Harry Kane To Be Fit in Time For Euro 2020

Harry Kane has been injured since the new year but has been recovering well and believes himself that he will be ready for Euro 2020.

Harry Kane has not played since the new year after picking up an injury to his left hamstring. The injury was severe enough to require surgery, leading to concerns over a long-term absence.

Many fans worried that Tottenham‘s season would suffer due to their star-man being injured, and there were even fears that he could miss out on Euro 2020. Kane is a key player for both England and Tottenham so this injury was very significant. However, it seems that the recovery process has gone well, and Kane will be back soon.

What was said

“Unless something pretty drastic happens between now and then, I’ll be there,” said Kane when asked about his potential involvement in the Euros. The tournament begins on June 12.

Kane has been working hard on his fitness, telling the Evening Standard “I’m still not back training with the first team, but I’m working hard in the gym, I’m getting stronger all the time.

“We’re talking a few more weeks, and I’ll be playing again. I don’t want to make a prediction for which game I might be back, but I am hoping somewhere between the start and the middle of April.” This timing would give Kane around a month to play in the Premier League before the Euros.

Kane even confidently said, “In my head, I am definitely at the Euros.”

Why It Is Important

Fans of both England and Tottenham will breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their captain will soon be fit. Kane is an integral part of both teams. He is Tottenham’s top scorer for the past five seasons and led England to the 2018 World Cup semi-finals as the competition’s top scorer. He is also England’s 6th highest all-time goalscorer.
