League Two strugglers Morecambe have signed striker Harvey Bradbury on loan from Millwall for the rest of the season.
Morecambe Sign Harvey Bradbury
The Deal
Morecambe announced via their website they had signed the striker. Bradbury arrives on loan for the remainder of the season and becomes Morecambe’s seventh January signing.
Derek Adams’ revamp at Morecambe continues as he plots survival in the Football League. Their results and performances have improved in the New Year and Adams will hope Bradbury can make a similar impact.
Bradbury spent last season at non-league Woking on loan from Oxford United. However, he was released by Oxford in the summer and eventually joined Millwall. He spent the first half of the season playing for Millwall’s development squad.
This will be his first loan experience in the Football League. He is ready to test himself at League Two level and fire Morecambe to safety in League Two.
He is eligible to make his debut this weekend against Cheltenham Town as Morecambe look to secure back-to-back league wins in a bid for survival.
The Shrimps are currently four points clear of basement club Stevenage and two behind Macclesfield Town in 22nd place.
What Was Said
Speaking to the Morecambe website about his move, Bradbury said: “I’m delighted to be here.
“It’s my first league loan so hopefully I can kick on well here and we can climb up the table.
“I’ve been playing at Millwall this season, mainly for the reserves. I’m looking forward to playing at this level because I think it will suit me a lot more than under-23s football.
“I like to be aggressive, put myself about and work hard. Hopefully, I can get as many goals as possible and help the team win games.”
