Bradford City have made their third January signing. The Bantams have signed striker Lee Novak for an undisclosed fee from Scunthorpe United. He arrives ready to spearhead Bradford’s attack.
Bradford City Sign Lee Novak From Scunthorpe
The Deal
Bradford announced via their website they had signed the striker. Novak arrives for an undisclosed fee signing an 18-month deal at Valley Parade.
Novak is a vastly experienced striker having played for the likes of Charlton Athletic, Huddersfield Town and Birmingham City. He arrives from Bradford’s Yorkshire neighbours Scunthorpe ready to fire Bradford back into League One.
He has been scoring goals for inconsistent Scunthorpe. Gary Bowyer is confident Novak is the striker to score the goals. Bradford are revamping their attack after letting James Vaughan and Eoin Doyle depart the club. Novak will certainly suit Bradford’s direct style of play.
Bradford are winless in six games and Novak needs to hit the ground running from the off with the Bantams clinging on to the final play-off spot.
Novak is eligible to make his debut against Oldham Athletic this weekend.
What Was Said
Speaking to the Bradford website about his move, Novak said: “I am buzzing to be here and am really pleased it has happened.”
“It was put together quite quickly and, as soon as I heard of the interest, I was keen to get everything done.”
“Bradford are obviously further up in the league than Scunthorpe and I want to progress and test myself at a higher level.”
“I have spoken to the likes of Rory McArdle and Clayton Donaldson, who had nothing but positive things to say.”
“I have heard a lot of great things about Bradford City and cannot wait to get out there and represent the club.”
