Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the permanent signing of Aaron Mooy from Huddersfield Town on a permanent deal, following the midfielder’s loan spell during the first half of the season.

Excellent First Half Of The Season
Mooy’s impressive performances during the first half of the season is what has earned him a permanent move from Huddersfield.
The 29-year-old has two goals and one assist to his name from 18 appearances but has been a detrimental player in the middle of the park for Graham Potter’s side.
The highlight for the Australian international during his loan spell was a match-winning performances against Bournemouth during the Christmas period. His attacking presence saw him score the winning goal in a 2-0 win at the Amex Stadium.
Mooy Delighted to Make Deal Permanent
Speaking about joining the Seagulls on a permanent basis, Mooy said to the official Brighton website: “I’m delighted, I’ve been really enjoying my time with the club so far and my family are settled too, which is very important for me.
“Hopefully it can continue, and I can keep helping the team. You never know what to expect in football, but I spoke to Maty Ryan a few times before I joined, and he told me good things.
“We have always been good friends and he was right with what he told me. I’m enjoying the training ground, the stadium, the fans, the city and everything else.
“It’s been great and hopefully I can keep enjoying it. At the moment the fans seem to like me too, so that’s nice.”
Meanwhile, manager Graham Potter said: “We are delighted to have agreed a permanent deal with Aaron and Huddersfield. He’s been an important player for us and will have a key part to play going forward.”
“We knew what Aaron would bring, and he’s proved to be an excellent addition to our squad and a great professional both on and off the pitch.”
