Walsall have confirmed that they have signed Nathan Sheron on loan from Fleetwood Town.
Walsall Sign Nathan Sheron on Loan From Fleetwood Town
Versatile Addition
After three loan spells away from the club, Sheron finally broke into the Fleetwood team last season.
He made 33 appearances in total, operating in midfield as well as defence.
However, he has featured sparingly this season, limited to only appearances in cup competitions.
As a result, Sheron has dropped down to join League Two Walsall for much-needed game time.
He is the second arrival of the window for Walsall, following the arrival of Jack Nolan from Reading.
What Was Said
Speaking to the official Walsall website on arrival, the 22-year-old said: “I’m made up to be here.
“I’m really looking forward to the upcoming games and I’m ready to get going.
“During my loan spell I just want to get Walsall up the table. I want to be playing games whilst I’m here and I’m looking forward to getting into the games and hopefully getting us into a play-off position.
“I just want to make an impact whilst I’m with the club. I want to help the boys out as much as possible and better the team as well as myself if possible.
“Hopefully if I am given the chance, I can make an impact this weekend in our game against Carlisle.”
Walsall boss Darrell Clarke expressed his pleasure with the addition when speaking to the Walsall website.
“We’re very pleased to add Nathan to the squad.
“He’s played quite a few games in League One and he will give us extra competition in the midfield area.
“He strengthens the squad and offers us something different.
“I’m sure he’ll have a positive impact during his spell with us.”
The Saddlers currently sit in 12th place in League Two on 36 points, eight points off of the play-off places.
Darrell Clarke’s side travel to Carlise United in their next game.
