First Venture Outside of France

It is the first venture outside of his native France for Stevenage’s new signing.

Dabo has spent the majority of his career in the lower leagues of the France football system. He has been without a club since leaving third-tier side US Avranches in July 2019.

Previously, the 26-year-old also featured for Stade Lavallois, SAS Epinal and FC Dieppe.

Stevenage have confirmed that he will available to face Cambridge United in their next game.

Second Arrival of The Day

The confirmation of the signing of Dabo is the second transfer of the day for Stevenage.

Graham Westley has secured the signature of Craig Mackail-Smith for a further six months, having spent the first half of the season on loan with the club.

The 35-year-old has featured 16 times for Stevenage so far this season but is yet to score for the club.

However, despite his lack of goals, Mackail-Smith said that his manager has faith in him when speaking to the official Stevenage website.

“It has been great really. Obviously the first three or four months were difficult, we had a few different Managers and they all have their own ideas of what they want to do,” said the veteran striker.

“I always said that I am fit and if you play me in games you will get your rewards in me.

“The gaffer now has put his trust in me the last three or four weeks and I think the performances I have put in have shown what I am capable of. It is nice to extend and hopefully I can carry on my run of form I have been having, whilst helping the team pick up some wins.”
