Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco Play out Enthralling Draw

It was a game to remember in the capital as Paris Saint Germain and Monaco played out a 3-3 all draw. A game packed with quality goals, talking points and an excellent start for new Monaco manager Roberto Moreno.

The goal-scoring began just three minutes in when Neymar scored. However, Moreno got a terrific reaction from his side as they turned the game around. Gelson Martins and Wissam Ben Yedder put Monaco in front by the 13th minute.

However, Monaco’s joy turned to frustration when Paris Saint Germain completed a comeback of their own. By the time the first half ended, PSG were back in front. An own goal from Ballo-Toure and a Neymar penalty put the Parisians ahead.

Monaco rallied in the second half and deservedly earned a point thanks to Islam Slimani. Paris Saint Germain stay top, but their lead is cut to five points. Monaco climb to 8th after Moreno’s first game.

The two sides meet again on Wednesday in their rescheduled game. Let’s hope it’s as good as this one.

Five Star Brest Thrash Managerless Toulouse

Brest came from a goal done to beat Toulouse 5-2 to secure their biggest away win of the season. Olivier Dall’oglio’s side collected a vital win in the battle to avoid relegation. Toulouse slump to a tenth straight league defeat.

Brest initially took the lead when Yoann Court put them ahead. However, the home side rallied and scored two goals in four minutes. Defender Bafode Diakite with an unlikely brace to give temporary manager Denis Zanko a dream response.

However, Brest put on a sensational second-half display to secure their sixth win of the season. A brace from Gaetan Charbonnier and further goals from Hianga’a M’Bock and Irvin Cardona condemned basement club, Toulouse, to a tenth consecutive league defeat.

A terrific win for Brest who rises to 14th and pulls eight points clear off the relegation zone.
