Struggling for Game Time
Plymouth confirmed on their website they had signed Ryan Hardie on loan. The striker arrives from Blackpool where he has made just 11 appearances since joining from Rangers in the summer.
Hardie has struggled for game time and confidence at Blackpool. He will be hoping to bring something different to the Plymouth attack.
Ryan Lowe has been looking at new striker options following the departure of Billy Clarke whose joined Grimsby.
Hardie could make his debut this weekend when Plymouth travel to Carlisle United.
Blackpool Have Confirmed His Departure
In a statement on the Blackpool website, the club’s chief executive Ben Mansford said: “We feel that this is an ideal opportunity for Ryan to go out and get a consistent run of games under his belt.
“He’s been a brilliant professional and we’ll now be monitoring his progress closely ahead of his return to the Club in the summer.”
A Good Opportunity for Hardie to Showcase His Abilities
Hardie has struggled in English football since arriving from Rangers in the summer. However, the striker will be hoping that consistent game time can help him improve as a player.
Ryan Lowe’s Plymouth set up should help him with Lowe installing a formation which accommodates two strikers. Plymouth have lacked a regular goalscorer and options up front.
Hardie will be confident he can be that man. He has scored goals at every club he has played for thus far.
The striker will reunite with former Rangers teammate Zak Rudden who joined the Pilgrims in the summer.
This will be a crucial six months for the young striker with Blackpool watching over his progress.
