What Was Said
Blackpool announced via their website they had re-signed left-back Marc Bola. Bola returns just six months after Middlesbrough brought him from Blackpool.
Speaking to the Blackpool website about his return, Bola said: “It feels very good to be back. I’ve been welcomed by my team-mates and the staff and I can’t wait to get back playing now.
“I’m looking to pick up from where I left off and play as many games as I can.”
Blackpool’s chief executive Ben Mansford added: “Everyone at the club has followed Marc’s progress at Middlesbrough and once we heard that he might be available, we were quick to reach an agreement for him to return on loan until the end of the season.”
“Marc is a popular figure in the dressing room and on the terraces. We are all looking forward to seeing him back in tangerine and at Bloomfield Road. Welcome back, Marc.”
Bola could make his second debut for Blackpool on Tuesday night when Reading visit Bloomfield Road in the FA Cup replay.
A trip to Lincoln a week on Saturday could be his first league game back.
Blackpool’s Current Player of the Year is Raring to Go
Marc Bola is currently Blackpool’s player of the year after a wonderful 2018/19 season. However, the step up to the Championship has been difficult.
Bola has made just eight appearances for Boro. However, Jonathan Woodgate does see his future at Middlesbrough. He wants Bola to get more games and experience under his belt.
The left-back is raring to go having returned to Bloomfield Road. He will be determined to help Blackpool reach the play-offs or even better.
