The FA Cup draw for the fourth round has been made and for those Football League sides that remain in the competition, they have some money-spinning ties coming their way.
FA Cup Draw
Bristol City or Shrewsbury Town v Liverpool
After a stunning finish from Curtis Jones got Liverpool through their third-round tie with Everton, Jurgen Klopp will take his team down a notch in round four.
Bristol City and Shrewsbury Town will undergo a replay after the League One Shrews held Lee Johnson’s side to a 1-1 draw at Ashton Gate. The reward for the winner? The European and world champions, and the current Premier League leaders, paying a visit to their ground.
They will feel they could get a result too, having seen some of Klopp’s squad rotations in previous cup games this season. Never count out Liverpool though, even if it is a team of teenagers.
Watford or Tranmere Rovers v Wolverhampton Wanderers or Manchester United
Tranmere Rovers produced the shock of the round at the weekend when they fought back from three goals down to draw 3-3 away at Premier League side Watford.
The Hornets have been under a resurgence with Nigel Pearson at the helm but a much-changed side were brought to a shuddering halt by Micky Mellon’s side, who just two seasons ago were members of the National League.
With the replay taking place at Prenton Park and the prospect of Watford bringing another unfamiliar side as they battle for top-flight survival, Tranmere will be confident they can cause another upset and get a tie against another Premier League outfit.
