Huddersfield Town Signing Rhian Brewster on Loan Would Be a Great Move

Rhian Brewster

Huddersfield Town have made enquiries about signing Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster on loan. The Terriers’ manager, Danny Cowley, and assistant manager Nicky Cowley, have stressed they are looking to add Premier League experience back into the Championship squad.

Huddersfield Town Should Look to Bring in Rhian Brewster on Loan

No Top Flight Experience

Brewster, at 19, has yet to make a Premier League start. The striker has, though, made two appearances for his parent club in the EFL Cup. The Englishman would be a great fit for the Terriers. Huddersfield have struggled with goal-scoring recently but although this is improving, the manager wants more options in the squad.

The Christmas period proved how thin the Town squad actually is. With injuries and players not being selected as they are on the transfer list themselves, the busy schedule over the festive period was a step too far. The players looked tired and as much as they tried to fight, the loss to Stoke City on New Year’s Day was a huge blow for the Yorkshire side.

Rhian Brewster Could Potentially Replace Karlan Grant

With Karlan Grant sparking interest from other clubs, the Terriers will definitely want to hold onto their number one striker. Adding Brewster, though, gives alternatives, and the option to alternate the squad that is the Terrier way.

Liverpool have a history with the Terriers, loaning them players in the past. Goalkeepers have been the favourite, with Danny Ward loaned in during the Championship promotion season, and youngster Kamil Grabara playing there now. Having another young player from the Reds makes sense for both teams.

Brewster will get guaranteed playing time and valuable experience, while Huddersfield will gain an extra young eager striker. Brewster is itching to prove himself and a Championship team struggling towards the bottom of the table is the ideal base on which to cut the teeth of Premier League players looking for experience.

Signing Rhian Brewster on loan to the end of the season will boost Huddersfield and give the young striker the first-team football he badly needs.
