Career So Far

Born in Camden, Vigouroux started his youth career at Brentford before moving onto Tottenham Hotspur. Before he could make a professional appearance for Spurs, though, he was snapped up by Liverpool, where he quickly established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper in the U21 side.

Vigouroux was on the cusp of breaking into the first-team squad at the Reds, often appearing in pre-season friendlies. However, he was loaned out to Swindon Town for the 2015/16 season, where he was the number one choice.

He signed permanent terms with Swindon upon the expiry of his loan, and it was at the Wiltshire side where he first worked under Orient’s current interim head coach, Ross Embleton.

After falling out of favour at Swindon, he joined Irish side Waterford on loan and then moved to Chile to join Everton de Viña del Mar in 2019, but he quickly moved back to England to take up the role at Orient.

He will provide competition for current O’s stoppers Sam Sargeant and Arthur Janata as well as cover for previous first-choice Dean Brill, who is likely to be out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

What Was Said

Speaking to the Leyton Orient YouTube channel, Vigouroux said: “I worked with the current manager here when I was at Swindon. We played a really good, expansive style of football and I think it really helped me in my game to turn me into what I am today.

“I think I can help the team and if I can help them in any way then I’ll be really happy top do that.”
