World Transfer Rumours
Gareth Bale Could Be Involved in Paul Pogba Swap Deal
According to Jorge Santos of El Desmarque, Real Madrid are planning to offer both James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale to Manchester United in return for Paul Pogba.
The Madrid pair are now deemed surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu. Bale’s relationship with the club has become damaged beyond repair and almost made the move to China during the summer. Meanwhile, Rodriguez has made just eight appearances so far this season.
As a result, Zinedine Zidane is keen to offload the pair. Madrid’s admiration of Paul Pogba is well documented and. as a result, they are set to pursue the Frenchman once more.
Jadon Sancho Won’t Be Moving In January
Dominic Booth of the Manchester Evening News writes that Jadon Sancho won’t be leaving Borussia Dortmund in January.
Michael Zorc, Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director, has reiterated the club’s stance by saying: “He’s a fundamental player for us and I do not see any scenario where he leaves us.”
Sancho has become a key player for the German club across the course of the last two seasons. Last season saw him register 13 goals and 16 assists in all competitions. However, he looks set to beat that tally this season, with a total of 18 goal contributions this season.
The Englishman has seen interest from a number of clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea.
Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal on the Move?
According to Aaron Flanagan of the Daily Mirror, Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal could leave the Camp Nou next month.
The 32-year-old has made just three starts so far this season, with most of his opportunities coming from the bench. As a result, Vidal is now looking for regular playing time elsewhere.
Manchester United are taking an interest in the Chilean international. As a result, he could act as a replacement for Paul Pogba should the Frenchman depart.
Tottenham Looking to Add Defender to Their Ranks
Alan Scott of The Sun reports that Tottenham Hotspur are one of a number of clubs interested in Juventus defender Merih Demiral.
The 21-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Juventus, despite only joining in the summer. As a result, he is now looking to make the move away from the Italian champions.
Tottenham are now preparing for life after Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen, and Demiral is on the list of replacements. However, they face competition from Arsenal and Manchester United.
