Ligue 1 predictions

Ligue 1 Predictions

Strugglers Meet

Two of Ligue 1’s struggles clash as Nimes host Metz. Nimes prop up the table while their opponents sit in the relegation play-off place. They are desperate for three points having gone seven league games without a win. Victory for Nimes will put them level on points with Metz.

Metz are showing shoots of improvement having gone unbeaten in their last three games. However, they are struggling for victories winning just once in their last seven. Their away form is disappointing winning just once on their travels. However, they will fancy their chances of heaping more misery on Bernard Blaquart and his team.

Habib Diallo is in excellent form for the visitors notching eight league goals so far. He is thriving in the Metz forward line and is enjoying his best scoring season in Ligue 1. He will play a vital role in Metz’s chances of securing three points. This is a huge game at the bottom and both sides will treat it as must-win.

Monaco Will Be Determined to Maintain Their Excellent Home Form When Paris Saint Germain Pay a Visit

PSG travel to the fortress Principality Stadium to take on Monaco. The home side are in terrific form on their patch winning their last four league games. PSG are looking to maintain their eight-point lead at the top with a four straight league win.

Monaco are flying at home winning their last four games. Leonardo Jardim’s side have turned the Principality into a fortress since their loss to Marseille at the beginning of September. Goals have been flowing at home and Monaco will fancy upsetting the runaway leaders on Sunday night. However, they will be without Islam Slimani who is suspended. Slimani has partnered Wissam Ben Yedder brilliantly with the pair notching 15 goals between them.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are fresh off an excellent comeback in the Champions League against Real Madrid. However, there are murmurs of discontent with Neymar after the Brazilian started as a substitute in Madrid. Tuchel will no doubt throw him back into the team this weekend as they seek a fourth straight league win. A huge game for both with Monaco aiming to get back into the race for Champions League football. PSG need the win to maintain their cushion at the top of the table.
