Latest Transfer Rumours
Jose Mourinho Filling Wishlist Already
New Spurs boss Jose Mourinho has only been at the club for a little over 24 hours. However, reports suggest that he is already filling up his transfer wishlist ahead of the upcoming window.
According to Miguel Delaney of the Independent, Mourinho’s fellow countrymen Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias are targets for Spurs. Fernandes has been looked at by Spurs before and was previously a target for Manchester United, while Dias, currently with Benfica, is fast becoming one of the most sought-after defenders in Europe.
Aside from a Portuguese influx, Mourinho is also said to be eyeing a move for Nemanja Matic. Mourinho signed Matic while he was at Chelsea and also brought him to Manchester United, where the Serbian remains. He has made just three Premier League appearances this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but with a good chunk of his career remaining, he will be keen to get some regular playing time back under his belt.
Latest Arsenal Transfer Rumours
Metro reports that Arsenal have stepped up their interest in RB Salzburg sensation Erling Haaland. A host of clubs across Europe are said to be monitoring the 19-year-old and Arsenal are the latest to show further interest in him.
It’s reported that the Gunners invited his father, former Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Manchester City player Alf-Inge Haaland, to their training ground at London Colney. They’re not alone though, with Premier League rivals Manchester United, who are ready to pay the £75 million asking price according to Mail Online’s Simon Jones, and European giants Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich all said to be keeping tabs on the teenager with an astonishing 26 goals in just 18 appearances this season.
In addition, Unai Emery’s side are reported to be looking at another RB Salzburg talent in Dominik Szoboszlai. Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke reports that the 19-year-old is being lined up as a replacement for Granit Xhaka, who caused a storm recently by appearing to swear at Arsenal fans as he was booed off the pitch while being substituted.
O’Rourke says that the Gunners attempted to sign Szoboszlai in the summer but were knocked back by Salzburg. Their return suggests he of high importance to Emery.
Juventus Join Kylian Mbappe Race
Juventus are set to attempt to get Kylian Mbappe to join them rather than the other European giants that are chasing his signature, according to Tuttosport via Sky Sports.
The Serie A side want Mbappe to snub interest from Real Madrid and join their lethal attacking force from Paris Saint-Germain.
Juventus and France legend Michel Platini told Tuttosport: “I really like Neymar. And then there’s this kid who plays with him at Paris Saint-Germain, who isn’t too bad himself…
“Mbappe, that’s it! He could be the star over the next 10 years. I would suggest him to anyone.
“I don’t know if Juventus can afford him right now, and it will be even more difficult in the future as his value will increase even more.”
Real Madrid Make Breakthrough With Milan Skriniar
Ozgur Sancar of Spanish outlet AS reports that Real Madrid have made a breakthrough in their pursuit of Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.
The Spanish giants have been competing alongside rivals Barcelona for two years to sign Skriniar according to AS, but it seems now that Los Blancos have stolen a march.
The Slovakian joined Inter from Sampdoria for €28 million in 2017 and, reportedly, Manchester City came in with a €50 million bid after just six months.
