Gareth Southgate has named his England squad for the latest round of Euro 2020 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Kosovo. Notable inclusions include a first call-up for Tyrone Mings and Aaron Wan-Bissaka earning their first senior call-ups.

Goalkeepers
Unsurprisingly, Jordan Pickford has been named as one of the goalkeepers in Gareth Southgate’s selction. The 25-year-old is now firmly first choice since his 2018 World Cup heroics.
Alongside Pickford, Southgate has chosen Tom Heaton and Nick Pope as his two other goalkeepers. Both have started the opening three games of the Premier League season for their retrospective clubs.
Defenders
Nine defenders have been named in the 25-man squad. Manchester United summer signings Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire have both been selected. It is the first time that Wan-Bissaka has been selected, having continued his impressive form from last season with Crystal Palace.
The 21-year-old is one of three right-backs named. Vying for the right-back spot alongside him are Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kieran Trippier. The former was named in the last England squad for the 2019 UEFA Nations League.
However, one notable exclusion is John Stones. According to Charlotte Duncker of the Manchester Evening News, the 25-year-old has only just returned from injury.
Midfielders
Gareth Southgate’s England squad includes seven midfielders. After an impressive start to the season, Mason Mount has earned a return to the England senior squad. Mount has registered two goals in three games so far this season for Chelsea.
Furthermore, James Maddison has also earned a call-up to the senior side. Following on from his impressing last season, Maddison has begun this season with two assists in three games.
Jesse Lingard, Jordan Henderson, Declan Rice and Ross Barkley have all maintained their place from the last England squad. Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returns to the senior side for the first time since returning from injury.
Attackers
Gareth Southgate has opted for the same attackers in his England squad that saw the Three Lions finish third in the UEFA Nations League.
Raheem Sterling has started the season in exciting fashion. The 24-year-old has five goals in three games so far this season for Manchester City, including a hat-trick on the opening day of the season.
Joining Sterling are Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Callum Wilson to round off the latest England squad.
