Championship Review: Matchweek Four
Sheffield Wednesday Return To Winning Ways
Sheffield Wednesday made it three wins from four games as they narrowly defeated Luton Town 1-0 at Hillsborough.
Kadeem Harris‘ tap in nine minutes into the second half ensured the three points for the Owls following their defeat to Millwall on Saturday.
However, Lee Bullen’s side faced a tough test against the newly promoted Luton Town, who dominated possession. The Owls impressive start could stand Bullen – the current caretaker manager at Hillsborough – in good stead to land the job permanently.
Jonathan Woodgate Earns First Win as Middlesbrough Manager
Following four games without a victory, Jonathan Woodgate finally landed his first victory as Middlesbrough manager with a 1-0 victory over Wigan Athletic.
The 39-year-old has Britt Assombalonga to thank as his first-half header was enough to hand Middlesbrough the three points.
Wigan’s best chance of the game came early on. Summer signing Jamal Lowe blasted straight at Darren Randolph in the Middlesbrough goal for their only shot on target.
