Last Word On Football’s Football Transfer News brings you the latest EFL transfer rumours. Today, we look at the potential of a number of exits from Leeds United, as well as Huddersfield Town‘s hunt for a striker.
EFL Transfer Rumours
Leeds United
It is never quiet at Elland Road. According to Graham Smyth of the Yorkshire Evening Post, Kemar Roofe could be set to leave the club. The 26-year-old is attracting interest from Belgian giants Anderlecht.
Roofe was a key figure for Leeds last season. He was the top-scorer with 15 goals as Marcelo Bielsa’s side narrowly missed out on promotion.
However, the forward may not be the only departure from Elland Road. The Yorkshire Evening Post also reports that goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell is set to move up a division to join Burnley. The young goalkeeper made 28 appearances last season.
Huddersfield Town In The Market For New Striker
Wayne Veysey of Football Insider writes that Huddersfield are one of a number of clubs chasing Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis.
After making his breakthrough during the 2017/18 season, Davis struggled last season making just five appearances. He is likely to struggle for appearances this season due to Aston Villa’s promotion to the Premier League.
As a result, Dean Smith is looking to loan out the youngster. However, Huddersfield are facing competition from Swansea and QPR for his signature.
Wigan Keen On Kieffer Moore
According to Paul Kendrick of Wigan Today, Wigan Athletic are looking to sign striker Kieffer Moore.
Moore played an emphatic role last season to Barnsley win promotion back to the Championship. He scored 19 goals and was named in the PFA League One Team of the Year.
Wigan manager Paul Cook has already been busy so far this summer. He has already seen seven players arrive at the DW Stadium, including Dujon Sterling on loan from Chelsea.
