Joe Aribo is the Seventh Signing of the Summer
Rangers have been extremely busy in the transfer window this summer. Gerrard has been reassembling his squad once again and has already made seven additions as he revamps his squad.
Aribo follows the likes of Jake Hastie, Jordan Jones, Steven Davis, Greg Stewart, Sheyi Ojo and George Edmundson in completing switches to Ibrox.
All seven of them will be in through the door in Glasgow before the Light Blues head on their pre-season tour of Portugal. Having them all available will give Gerrard the valuable time he will need to get them ready for the upcoming campaign.
Aribo is a Solid Addition
Aribo had an outstanding campaign for Charlton last season as he managed to guide them back to the Championship via the play-offs.
Netting ten goals and providing his team-mates with five assists in 39 appearances, the 22-year-old was a vital member of Lee Bowyer’s side and there will be a huge disappointment in SE7 that he decided against signing a new deal.
Rangers had to beat off a number of teams to his signature this summer, as a host of clubs were thought to be interested in the youngster. Some of his potential suitors were thought to be in the Premier League, according to Sky Sports.
The creativity he possesses should benefit Rangers largely moving forward. They struggled to find consistency in the middle of the park at times last season.
