Career So Far

Mason previously spent two-and-a-half seasons at Wolves having arrived from recently-relegated Cardiff City.

The former Republic of Ireland U21 international has scored 52 league goals so far in his career, coming from 143 starts.

Having been born in Plymouth, Mason started his career with Plymouth Argyle after coming through their youth ranks. As a teenager, he scored ten times for the Pilgrims which earned his move to Cardiff for a reported £250,000.

Mason scored 25 times for the Bluebirds whilst also having multiple loan spells at Bolton Wanderers. His performances for both sides earned him a move to Wolves in January 2016 in a deal thought to be worth £3 million.

After scoring three minutes into his debut for the club, he would go on to register six goals in 18 starts before spending time on loan at Burton Albion, Colorado Rapids and Portsmouth.

What They Said

Upon signing for the club, Mason told the MK Dons website: “I’m over the moon to finally get this move done.
“This is a club that has a lot of ambition. They are moving in the right direction and the facilities are so impressive.
“The main thing for me, though, was the manager. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Tis (Paul Tisdale) and after I met him, it was a no brainer for me.
“He talked about the game really well and spoke highly of me and how I would fit into his team. With the vision he has and how he wants to play, I think I’ll fit in really well. I’m looking forward to working under him.”
