MK Dons have made their second signing of the summer window, bringing in Colchester United wide man Brennan Dickenson on a free transfer. This follows the news from earlier last week that the Dons had signed midfielder Hiram Boateng from Exeter City.

Career So Far
Dickenson, who primarily plays on the left side of midfield but can also operate as a left back, joins from the U’s after the expiry of his contract. During his time there, he made 93 appearances whilst contributing 15 goals and ten assists. He also picked up the club’s Player of the Year and Player’s Player of the Year in 2017.
He started his career at Dorchester Town before being picked up by Brighton & Hove Albion. He then had loan spells at Chesterfield, AFC Wimbledon and Northampton Town before signing a permanent deal with Gillingham.
Two years ensued with the Gills between 2014 and 2016 before joining up with Colchester.
The Announcement
As seems to be popular now, the Dons announced Dickenson using a video on Twitter. These sorts of things can often backfire, but this time at least, fans of the Dons and other teams seemed to see the humorous side.

What They Said
Speaking to the MK Dons website, Dickenson said: “I’m very pleased to join such a great club.
“This is a great club with a great stadium. I’ve heard lots of good things about the manager and I know a few of the boys as well. Everything just seems right.
“I’m excited to meet everyone, the players and the fans, and get going – hopefully it will be a good season.”
