Career So Far

Boateng came through the academy at Premier League side Crystal Palace and made his senior debut in a 4-1 defeat against Stoke City in the FA Cup in 2013. The bulk of Boateng’s early appearances in his career came while out on loan.

He first spent time at Crawley Town in 2014 before having two spells at Plymouth Argyle. The midfielder then joined Bristol Rovers for a spell in 2016 before also linking up with Northampton Town later that year.

Exeter saw enough from Boateng to swoop for him in 2017 and he quickly established himself as one of the top performers in League Two. He made a total of 77 appearances for Exeter, scoring three league goals – including a contender for goal of the season in this campaign.

What They Said

Upon signing, Boateng told the MK Dons website: “I think this is a great place for me to come and play my football. It’s going to be a new challenge, playing in League One, but I feel I have what it takes to step up. I feel I’m ready to show what I’m capable at this level.

“It’s going to be good coming into a positive environment. I’m here to help push the Club in the right direction of where we want to go. As long as we get our heads down, play well and stay together, hopefully, we can carry on being successful.”
