Striker Javier Hernandez Returns to Premier League
West Ham have made it official on Twitter—striker Javier Hernandez is returning to the Premier League to play for the London-based club on a transfer from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.

The former Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen striker had been a rumoured target for much of the past week, and today pens a deal with financial details forthcoming.
Chicharito returns to the Premier League having scored 37 goals in 103 matches for Manchester United. The now 29-year-old was loaned for the 2014-15 season to Real Madrid before completing a permanent deal to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. With a strong 2015-16 season where he scored 17 times for his club with another five in the Champions League, he had successively weaker seasons since.
At the international level, Hernandez has been a mainstay in the Mexian attack, scoring 48 times for El Tri. Earlier this year he became Mexico’s all-time leading scorer in international competition.

Earlier this week, West Ham United completed the signing of goalkeeper Joe Hart. Hart joins the London club adding some pedigree and experience. Hammers’ fans have much to celebrate with two quality additions to the team, though Joe Hart is on a loan from Manchester City with potential to be made a permanent move. Certainly the keeper would fancy the return to England after a last-second loan move in 2016 to Serie A club Torino.
