Big 12 Week 13 Winners

Big 12 Week 13 Winners: Home Cooking Dominates The Menu

Late in November, the only thing that matters is winning. The week 12 selections did just that for us. Both Moneyline and against the spread were a spicy 5-1. BYU handled the Horned Frogs to keep the lock intact. *Whispers* totals continue to suck with 2-4. Much of this conference is playing out over the last two weeks for pride. So, no better time to be prideful in the Big 12 week 13 winners than to lean towards home teams. Senior Day celebrations should include plenty of outright wins.”

Big 13 Week 12 Winners: Home Cooking Dominates The Menu

Kansas At Iowa State (-4.5)

How To Watch:
Date and Time: Saturday, Nov. 23rd at 12 pm EST
Television: FS1

Both of these teams are coming off a bye week. Both teams, while they never had major expectations of a conference title, still are dealing with a bit of a letdown in 2025. Jalon Daniels and Rocco Becht have both dealt with significant highs and lows in their performances this season. The Jayhawks still need one more win to secure a bowl berth. But Matt Campbell showed against TCU that they are still fighting. Even with it being a coin-flip matchup, Last Word likes the home team to score the last touchdown to win by six.

Moneyline: Iowa State ATS: Iowa State Total 55.5: Under

Baylor At Arizona (-6.5)

How To Watch:
Date and Time: Saturday, Nov. 23rd at 1 pm EST
Television: TNT

Does anyone else realize how close Arizona is to being a 9-1 team? If Houston’s game-winning field goal goes wide, they have a chance in overtime to win. They were up on BYU 24-14 with 11:14 left in the fourth quarter, and it still took double overtime for the ‘Cats to fall. Brett Brennan’s team is also coming off its biggest win of the season. Momentum is high for Arizona to finish out this season strong. They have a wounded Baylor team coming to Tucson to close out their home schedule. This is one of the underthought items on the Big 12 week 13 slate. The better team, at home, handles their business easily.

Moneyline: Arizona ATS: Arizona Total 62.5: Under

Kansas State At #12 Utah (-17.5)

How To Watch:
Date and Time: Saturday, Nov. 23rd at 4 pm EST
Television: ESPN2

Is there anything else Kyle Whittingham’s team to do to garner at-large consideration for the playoff? One could argue that despite winning all of their games by at least 25 points, they don’t have a significant win. Their only losses are to the fifth and 11th ranked teams, which Utah played both teams very close for essentially all four quarters. If they have any hope of impressing the committee, they must maintain their dominance. Normally, using the lock of the Big 12 week 13 winners on a two-and-a-half touchdown spread isn’t the wise choice. But Utah is going to cover, or they are going to lose on the moneyline as well. There will be no in between. Feel confident in laying the big number.

Moneyline: Utah ATS: Utah Total 52.5: Over

TCU At #23 Houston (-1.5)

How To Watch:
Date and Time: Saturday, Nov. 23rd at 4 pm EST
Television: Fox

TCU has not looked right for three consecutive games. Meanwhile, Houston’s last three wins have all come by one score. But Houston has been the better team all season. TCU’s inconsistencies have finally come to roost. It is hard to see a world where TCU’s offense decides that a road game against a top-25 opponent is where the offense finds its stride. Willie Fritz’s team, coming off a bye week, takes care of the Horned Frogs for win number nine for the Coogs.

Moneyline: Houston ATS: Houston Total 54.5: Over

Oklahoma State (+14.5) At UCF

Last Week, Oklahoma State played one of the ugliest games of the Big 12 season against Kansas State. Their one-score defeat was in large part because the Pokes turned the ball over five times. They keep making incremental progress, despite it being a lost season. The Knights are playing musical chairs at the quarterback position. While normally the Bounce House should give reason to back the home team, it is time for Oklahoma State. This team keeps knocking at the door of a Big 12 win. When the game kicks off on Saturday, it will have been 727 days since the last time Oklahoma State won a Big 12 conference game. The streak ends this Saturday as the Pokes spring the upset on the road.

#11 BYU (-2.5) At Cincinnati

How To Watch:
Date and Time: Saturday, Nov. 23rd at 8 pm EST
Television: Fox

The air came out of this balloon when the Bearcats fell to the Wildcats at home. However, that shouldn’t mean BYU will come to Nippert and run the Bearcats out of the stadium. BYU has demonstrated all season that they are a very different team on the road. In a primetime spot for Cincinnati, Last Word expects them to be fired up for this one. While BYU has been a different team on the road, they have demonstrated extreme resilience. Expect Brendan Sorsby to have a bounce-back game and challenge the Cougars. However, Kalani Sitake’s team will make the winning plays in the fourth quarter and get out of there with a hard-fought victory.

Moneyline: BYU ATS: BYU Total 54.5: Over

#25 Arizona State At Colorado (+6.5)

How To Watch:
Date and Time: Saturday, Nov. 23rd at 8 pm EST
Television: ESPN2

Speaking of resiliency, possibly no team has exemplified that more than Kenny Dillingham’s squad. They have rattled off two wins, have quarterback Sam Leavitt was knocked out of the Houston loss with a season-ending injury. Meanwhile, Deion Sanders’ Buffalo team did show some fight in a loss with West Virginia two weeks ago after appearing dead in the water. Julian Lewis will make his first start this week in Colorado’s home finale. The former five-star recruit has bright spots against the Mountaineers. There has been a noticeable lack of Big 12 chaotic nature in recent weeks. What better time for a big-time quarterback recruit to have a coming-out party than the home finale against a top 25 team? Colorado pulls off the outright upset and brings 100% certainty to the championship game. With this Arizona State loss and BYU’s win, the Big 12 championship matchup will be locked in place, where a rematch between BYU and Texas Tech will determine the conference champion.
