Big 12 Week Four Winners: Ready The Fireworks
Early into this college football season, the picks have run very hot and cold depending on where one might look for action. Our week three winners saw plenty of winners against the spread (5-2). However, the totals selections were just the opposite (2-5). Moneyline picks were an impressive 9-1. Shifting attention to this week, multiple games on the Big 12 week four winners docket have totals around 60. But those won’t be the only games with fireworks going off. Let’s see if we can find above .500 records for both sides of the picks this week. All lines are courtesy of FanDuel.

Big 12 Week Four Winners
Tulsa (+12.5) At Oklahoma State
Most years, this would not be a game Oklahoma State fans need to sweat. The Pokes haven’t lost to the Golden Hurricanes since 1998. The 10-game winning streak hasn’t involved too many barn burners. But Mike Gundy better watch out. Oregon smacked his Cowboys with a 2×4 last time we saw them, and hasn’t shown signs of being an overly competitive team. Oklahoma State will win the game, but Tulsa keeps it close throughout.

#17 Texas Tech (+2.5) At #16 Utah
The only ranked vs. ranked matchup on the Big 12 week four winners slate kicks off at 10 am local time in Salt Lake City. During a film session with the team before the season started, Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire told his team, “We’re fixin’ to shake up college football.” A win at Rice-Eccles Stadium against a physical Utah squad would do just that. As long as the Red Raider offensive line can keep Behren Morton upright, Texas Tech puts the conference on notice as the team to beat for the Big 12 title.
Moneyline: Texas Tech ATS: Texas Tech Total 57.5: Under
SMU At TCU (-6.5)
Before they announced the lines for this game, anyone who has seen these teams this year should have blindly taken the over. While points will not be hard to come by in this one, the biggest storyline is the end of this rivalry. The Iron Skillet has been on the line 103 times between these two cross-town rivals. However, this game has no scheduled renewal in the near future. Who gets the last bragging rights for the foreseeable future? TCU has the better quarterback in Josh Hoover. Sonny Dykes gets the last laugh against his former team.
Moneyline: TCU ATS: TCU Total 64.5: Over
North Carolina (+6.5) At UCF
Disclaimer to the readers: do not bet on this game. Anyone who claims to have a clear understanding of this game is seeing it through either baby blue or golden-tinted glasses. Bill Belichick’s team has won two straight in unconvincing fashion after getting slapped by TCU. Scott Frost’s team, while they haven’t lost, has not established a discernible trend of what they can do well. But someone has to win this game. In a coin flip game, normally the lean goes towards the home team. However, this time, we see the weirdness of the sport pop up in favor of the NFL coaching great for an inexplicable reason. The Tar Heels spring the minor upset.
Moneyline: North Carolina ATS: North Carolina Total 48.5: Over
West Virginia At Kansas (-13.5)
Congratulations to Rich Rodriguez for bringing home the Backyard Brawl title this year. While that is a great feather in his cap for his first year back in Morgantown, this matchup with Kansas reeks of a letdown spot. Last time we saw the Jayhawks, they let the Border War slip through their fingers. In front of the home crowd, expect Kansas to bounce back strong and win this one decisively.
Moneyline: Kansas ATS: Kansas Total 55.5: Under
Arizona State At Baylor (-2.5)
Where has the Arizona State offense been in 2025? Sam Leavitt is completing less than 60% of his passes and has already thrown half as many interceptions as he did all last season. But this week, they travel to Waco to take on a Bears defense that has allowed 38 and 45 points to FBS opponents this year. While Kenny Dillingham’s team should see better offensive output, they still won’t have an answer for Sawyer Robertson. The senior quarterback has been one of the most impressive quarterbacks in all of college football so far in 2025. Expect him to continue to stuff the stat sheet in this one as Baylor wins at home. Be sure to lock up this over of the Big 12 week four winners because no defense stands a chance against these offenses.
Moneyline: Baylor ATS: Baylor Total 59.5: Over
BYU (-7.5) At East Carolina
BYU is playing like a team that doesn’t trust its quarterback. That isn’t meant to be a slight against them, as they unexpectedly had to start a true freshman this year. The Cougars are content to run the ball, chew up clock, and play suffocating defense. This is a tricky road spot for them (side note, wish more P4 teams would do home-and-home arrangements with G5 teams). However, the experience and talent of the BYU defense prove to be too much, and Kalani Sitake’s team avoids the upset.
Moneyline: BYU ATS: BYU Total 49.5: Under
Wyoming At Colorado (-13.5)
Everyone has got to witness Deion Sanders struggle to handle the quarterback position this year. After all, it is the first year in his collegiate coaching career in which the quarterback back wasn’t his son. No matter who has started for the Buffalos under center, the offense has not shown any consistent ability to move the football and score points. Colorado should resemble its performance against Delaware on offense more than its games against Georgia Tech and Houston. It won’t be the most entertaining “After Dark” game, but the good news for Buffs fans is that the win should come on the easier side.
