NBA Player Props | Wednesday, Dec. 21
Joel Embiid Under 31.5 Points
Embiid is on a massive run of late, averaging 34.1 points over his last nine. However, we’re exercising caution in this spot thanks to the blowout potential.
The Sixers are 11.5-point home favorites against a Pistons team that lost six of seven. That includes a 15-point defeat to the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night. It wouldn’t be a shock to see the Sixers manage Embiid’s workload. He played 42 minutes on Monday, and the Sixers have high profile matchups on tap this week.
Jayson Tatum Over 7.5 Rebounds
The Celtics are in the midst of a mini skid with losses in four of five, including back-to-back defeats to the Orlando Magic. Tatum hasn’t played since Dec. 16, so he’ll be fresh (in theory).
There is some blowout concern here – the Celtics are 10-point home favorites – but the Celtics will want to get their home-stand off on the right foot, particularly in light of their recent struggles. We expect enough shot attempts – errant shot attempts – from the Pacers to provide Tatum with enough opportunity to secure eight rebounds, a mark he’s reached in six of 10.
Damian Lillard Over 4.5 Three-Pointers
Lillard is playing with a sniper’s efficiency. He converted five-plus threes in six of eight, and is shooting 48 percent on nearly 13 deep attempts over that span. He only attempted single-digit three-pointers one time in the last eight – a game in which he only played 24 minutes.
Not only is Lillard shooting frequently – and accurately – from beyond the arc, but the Blazers are 4-point road favorites against a Thunder team that is lenient in its three-point defense.

Luka Doncic Over 3.5 Three-Pointers
Doncic fell short of four three-pointers in Monday’s contest with the Timberwolves. He converted three of eight from distance, but he was limited to 28 minutes after being ejected in the third quarter.
He’s shooting 40.6 percent on 9.6 three-point attempts over his last 10. Meanwhile, Dallas is laying 3 points as road favorites, and it’s reasonable to expect another night of high three-point volume from Doncic.
