NBA Player Prop Picks | Wednesday, April 5

Mikal Bridges Over 27.5 Points

Bridges and the Nets head into the second leg of a back-to-back, but we’re bullish on Bridges hitting the Over nonetheless. He struggled (9 of 24) against the Timberwolves last night, but they’re 11.5-point road favorites against the defensively challenged Pistons, winners of one over their last 22.

This is a must-win spot for the Nets, who reside one game above Miami in the No. 6 spot. Bridges will continue to shoulder the scoring load as the team’s centerpiece, likely leading them to a win with 28-plus points in the process.

Kyrie Irving Under 25.5 Points

On the surface, this situation appears to be ripe for the Mavericks to cruise to victory. They’re playing at home against a poor defensive team heading into the second leg of a back-to-back. Not to mention it’s a team that has already clinched the division title and West’s No. 3 seed.

However, anyone who has paid attention to Irving for the last, say, 6-7 seasons, knows how unreliable he is. He’s coming off 41 points — in a loss — but stayed Under 26 points in five of six. An Under bet here is as much — if not more — about Irving’s awful makeup than his game. No matter how you cut it, untrustworthiness is untrustworthiness.

Mitchell Robinson Over 1.5 Blocks

We’re banking on a little bit of chaos in this matchup. Not so much in terms of crazy highlights, but in terms of reserves seeing a lot of action. Especially for Indiana, who will be without star point guard Tyrese Haliburton and possibly big man Myles Turner.

The Pacers are eliminated and the Knicks are locked into the postseason field, so both teams are playing out the string for a few more games. That should still allow Robinson to wreak a little havoc in the paint against a short-handed team that may struggle offensively.
