Top NBA Player Props – Hornets vs. Jazz
Lauri Markkanen Over 26.5 Points
Markkanen returned from a two-game absence and picked up right where he left off. He’s averaging 30 points over his last 10, including seven Overs, and the Hornets are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA.
The Jazz are 7.5-point home favorites. And on paper, the Hornets do not have a team that will be able to inflict its will on Markkanen. As long as Markkanen handles enough volume – he’s averaging 18.6 shot attempts over that span – he should be able to find the efficiency reach 27 points.
Lauri Markkanen Over 3.5 Threes
We expect a significant portion of Markkanen’s anticipated scoring output to come from beyond the arc. He’s 12-for-18 from three across two starts since returning from a two-game absence, suggesting he’s broken out of his modest slump.
The Hornets are bottom third in their three-point defense while the Jazz have a team total of 122.5. We like both Markkanen’s efficiency and volume from deep in recent contests. And in a winnable home game, it’s reasonable to bet on the Jazz hopping on Markkanen’s shoulders.

Lauri Markkanen Over 9.5 Rebounds
We’re pushing the chips behind Markkanen on Monday night. We like him to clean the glass as well as fill up the scoring column. Especially if Hornets star point guard LaMelo Ball (questionable, left ankle) sits tonight’s contest.
Even if Ball plays, it’s reasonable to suggest he’ll do so at significantly less than full strength. The Hornets are already offensively challenged, so anything that diminishes them further boosts Markkanen’s rebounding prospects. On paper, at least.
Jordan Clarkson Over 22.5 Points
Clarkson continues to score at a quality clip for the Jazz. He’s averaging 23.7 points across his last 10 games and shooting 48.6 percent from the field over that span.
We love Lauri Markkanen tonight, but he’s not going to handle all of the scoring. Clarkson actually leads the team in shot attempts, and does enough from three-point land and the charity stripe to anticipate him scoring at least 23 points.
