Cannonier vs. Strickland
The main event on Saturday features two combatants coming off devastating losses.
Cannonier had a two-fight win streak snapped back in July when he fell to Israel Adesanya by decision in a middleweight title match. The Killa Gorilla will look to end the year on a positive note and maintain his status in the top five of his class.
Meanwhile, Strickland had his unbeaten streak in the 185-pound weight class halted after being knocked out by Alex Pereira. The Californian will try to avoid the first two-loss stretch of his career.
The bout should be a stand-up affair between two fighters with very different styles. Cannonier is the more powerful of the two, while Strickland offers a more technical approach.
In three of the last four years, the UFC’s final event of the year has finished before the final bell. Here are the odds for the scrap to end before time.
