We’re officially past the midway point of the NFL season, and the contenders are separating themselves from the pretenders.
The Atlanta Falcons are in the thick of it in the NFC South. The Carolina Panthers are firmly entrenched in another losing season. Thursday night’s matchup doesn’t scream barnburner, but no matter how listless the game may be, we still have prop bets.
Let’s look at TNF’s best plays, including what could be a monster game from Cordarrelle Patterson.

Top 3 Prop Bets for Thursday Night Football
Dallas Goedert was last Thursday’s prop bet hero. The hulking tight end hauled in eight receptions for 100 yards and a score.
This week’s TNF matchup lacks star power, but there are still plenty of solid plays if you look hard enough. We’ve unearthed a few gems for this Week 10 matchup.
1. Cordarrelle Patterson Over 53.5 Rushing Yards (-114)
You don’t need bad weather to convince the Falcons to run the ball, but it certainly can’t hurt. With double-digit winds and heavy rain forecast in Carolina, expect the league’s 4th-ranked rushing attack to pound the rock early and often.
Cordarrelle Patterson returned from a four-game absence last week and led the team in carries. He reached paydirt twice.
He’ll be in better game shape this week and will face a Panthers team that was gashed for 241 rushing yards by the Cincinnati Bengals last week.
2. P.J. Walker Under 165.5 Passing Yards (-114)
Sticking with the run-heavy theory, we’re fading Panthers quarterback P.J. Walker on TNF. Walker threw for just nine yards last week before he was yanked for Baker Mayfield.
Expect him to be on a short leash on Thursday night. He’s averaged just 124.6 passing yards in his four starts this season. There’s no reason to expect him to go off in inclement weather.
It will be a heavy dose of D’Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard running the ball, with Walker merely an afterthought. If you want to double down on poor passing, don’t hesitate to fade Marcus Mariota as well. The Falcons rank 30th through the air and average just 157.2 passing yards per game.

3. Anytime TD Scorer – Tyler Allgeier (+185)
There will be enough carries to go around in the Atlanta backfield this week. Count on rookie running back Tyler Allgeier to get his share. The BYU product has come on strong lately and picked up the slack for the injured Patterson.
Allgeier averaged 9.9 yards per carry last week on 10 totes and will be hungry to find the endzone after being shut out against the Chargers. He scored on a receiving touchdown when these teams met two weeks ago in a game with a combined 71 points.
Scoring will likely be tempered this week due to the conditions, but most of the points should come on the ground.
