Nets vs. Pelicans player props won’t feature Zion Williamson, who is out for several weeks with a hamstring strain. There’s still plenty to be excited about with CJ McCollum, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving playing at high levels.

CJ McCollum Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made

McCollum figures to continue handling increased shot volume sans Zion Williamson. We expect that to include a healthy serving of attempts from beyond the arc.

The Nets do a pretty good job of limiting three-pointers, but opponents have shot efficiently from distance. We’re not too concerned with McCollum’s long-range volume. He’s attempting 9.4 threes over his last 10 and converting at a 51.1% clip.

Kevin Durant Over 1.5 Steals + Blocks

Durant is averaging 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks across his last 10 contests. That production is enough on its own to tilt us to the Over, but New Orleans may help his cause.

The Pelicans are one of the most victimized teams when it comes to getting shots blocked. Additionally, much of the ball-handling responsibility will fall on secondary players. Williamson and Brandon Ingram are sidelined, and there’s only so much usage that McCollum can put on his shoulders.

Kyrie Irving Over 31.5 Points + Rebounds

Irving shouldn’t have too many issues eating deep into this number via his point total. He’s averaging 26.3 points over his last six and hitting 51.7% of 19.3 shot attempts over that span, including 47.1% from beyond the arc.

He’s contributed quality work on the glass as well, collecting at least five boards in four of his last six games. The Pelicans have to redistribute Williamson’s 16.2 shot attempts, but they won’t replace his 60.8% rate from the field. Conventional wisdom suggests that will create enough rebounding opportunities for Irving to clip the Over.

Jonas Valanciunas Over 10.5 Rebounds

The Pelicans’ primary advantage tonight may be in the middle. Valanciunas should be able to bully his way around the paint to a significant degree and find success on the glass.

Brooklyn ranks 29th in total rebounds and is bottom third in terms of rebounding percentage. Opposing bigs have had success in the rebounding department even as the Nets have ascended the Eastern Conference standings. Valanciunas is averaging 11 boards across his last 10 and has individual performances of 18 and 17 boards over that span.
