For May 11, 2024, we will look at the clash between the Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder in Dallas. The Thunder won the first game by 23 points and completely dominated. However, the Mavericks stole one game in Oklahoma, and tied the series. Expect a high-intensity game.
Current Form
The Mavericks were an absolute no-show in the first game against the Thunder. Everything they did right in the first round against the Clippers, the Mavericks failed to repeat against the Thunder. Luka Dončić looked injured on the court and played no defense whatsoever. However, Jason Kidd made some great adjustments for game 2 as the Mavericks looked great and tied the series. Right now, they have home court advantage, which has been crucial so far this year in the playoffs. It is worth mentioning that P.J. Washington came off the 3pt line, scoring 29 points.
The Thunder looked great in the first game. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was their best scorer in both games. The only difference is that he got much needed help offensively from his teammates in the first game. In the last game, Jalen Williams and he were almost the only two scoring options.
