Best NBA Bets For March 25, 2024

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland (10) dribbles the ball and looks to pass over Minnesota Timberwolves guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker (9) in the first half at Target Center.

We have a huge slate of 11 NBA games to look forward to today. While we enjoy the action, I have found the best NBA bets for March 25 for you to jump on. Relax, enjoy the games, and let’s continue our hot streak.

Best NBA Bets For March 25, 2024

Hornets @ Cavaliers

Cavaliers -12.0 (-110)

The Charlotte Hornets travel to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers in the first game of their season series. These teams will be facing each other two nights in a row in a mini-baseball-style series.

This is a matchup between teams with relatively young cores. That’s the only similarity between both rosters. The Hornets have been poorly run in the past few years and are still in a state of rebuild. The Cavaliers have far-away-but-not-too-far-away title aspirations behind their All-NBA guard, Donovan Mitchell.

The Cavaliers are currently third in the East. They are a half-game ahead of the Knicks and a game ahead of the Magic.

The Cavaliers have Mitchell sidelined, but Max Strus and Dean Wade could make their returns. The Hornets have LaMelo Ball, Mark Williams, Seth Curry, and Cody Martin as absentees for this game.

Both teams are coming into this game off of losing streaks. The Cavaliers have been in a slump for the past month. But they are getting rotation pieces back from long-term injuries.

The Hornets have struggled to score points recently. Over the last two weeks, they are last in the NBA in offensive rating (103.1). Charlotte has scored fewer than 100 points in just five games over the last month. It’s hard to win games when your offense is not humming.

The Cavaliers have more shooting than the Hornets. They can put up points in bunches when facing non-playoff teams. Also, they are in the top five in the NBA in defensive rating. That is a huge factor when picking them to cover this spread.

In this bet, we’re backing the healthier home team to bounce back in a big win.

Pistons @ Knicks

Under 208.5 (-110)

The New York Knicks welcome the Detroit Pistons to Madison Square Garden. This will be the third meeting of the season between both sides. The Knicks won the most recent encounter in New York by two points.

Both teams head into this matchup on opposite streaks. The Knicks have won five of their previous six, while the Pistons have lost six games in a row.

The Pistons have had a disappointing season, considering their front office’s expectations heading into the season.

The Knicks’ Julius Randle, OG Anunoby, and Mitchell Robinson remain out. For the Pistons, Isaiah Stewart and Ausar Thompson are listed as out. Cade Cunningham, Simone Fontecchio, Jalen Duren, and Quentin Grimes will be game-time decisions.

Over the last 10 games, the Knicks are first in the NBA in defensive rating. They are playing their best (fit) players huge minutes. That has translated into a league-leading defense.

Over the last three road games, the Pistons have scored less than 95 points in two games. The Pistons have been in the bottom five in the NBA in offensive rating over the last two weeks.

In this NBA bet, we are backing the under because we have a struggling offense playing against a stingy defense.

Nets @ Raptors

Nets -6.0 (-110)

The Brooklyn Nets travel to Toronto to take on the Raptors in the third game of the season series. The previous match ended in a 28-point blowout win for the Raptors at the Scotiabank Arena.

Both teams had playoff aspirations before the season started but have had to recalibrate following a disappointing year. The Raptors have begrudgingly started their rebuild around Scottie Barnes.

The morale at the Nets couldn’t be lower. They are still largely unloved in the New York market. Their attempt at a Big 3 backfired spectacularly, and they don’t have many assets/draft picks moving forward in the short term.

The Nets lost their most recent game against the Knicks on the road. The Raptors lost to the Wizards on the road.

The Raptors have a plethora of injuries. They continue to deal with the absence of Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley. The Nets currently have Ben Simmons, Cameron Johnson, and Dennis Smith Jr. listed as out.

The Nets have scored at least 106 points in six of their last 10 on the road. In contrast, the Raptors have scored less than 104 points in their previous four home games. It’s hard to win or even cover spreads in the NBA when you can’t score points consistently. The Raptors have lost by 10 or more points in six of their last seven at home.

In this bet, we’re backing the Nets to get a win in Canada against an injury-riddled Raptors.
