The 2025 NBA Draft Lottery is tonight but the annual Draft Combine has already begun. With that in mind, the list of prospects who received invites to the NBA Combine just got longer. In fact, five players received call-ups following their performances at the 2025 G League Elite Camp.

That quintet includes: Penn State big man Yanic Konan Niederhauser; Indiana forward Mackenzie Mgbako; Missouri guard Tamar Bates; Gonzaga point guard Ryan Nembhard; and Illawarra Hawks center Lachlan Olbrich.
5 Prospects Earn Late Invite To 2025 NBA Draft Combine
Of those five prospects, two have already completed workouts for NBA teams, albeit in group settings. Bates, a 6-foot-5 guard, was among the six players who worked out for the Sacramento Kings last Monday. Olbrich, a 6-foot-10 center, was among those who worked out for the Portland Trail Blazers.
In the two games that Olbrich would play, he averaged 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.

The three other prospects are known commodities as well, at least in some capacity.
Konan Niederhauser, who transferred to Penn State from Northern Illinois after two seasons, is one of the best rim-protectors at the college level. In fact, the 6-foot-10 big man has his conference in blocks per game the past two seasons. This despite playing in two different conferences (MAC in 2023-24, Big Ten in 2024-25).
Mgbako left Roselle Catholic High School as a top-10 recruit in the ESPN 100. He’s underwhelmed since, largely due to inconsistent effort and offense. However, he has an NBA body and is only a couple of years removed from being one of the best players in his class.

One could say that Mgbako was the most impressive player during the G League Elite Camp. In the two games he played, he recorded 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per contest. The 6-foot-8 forward also shot 7-13 (53.8 percent) from 3.
Last but certainly not least is Nembhard, the brother of Indiana Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard. As it tends to happen, the younger Nembhard has similar traits as his brother, both being two-way playmakers. With his blend of pedigree, intellect, and tangible skills, it’s not easy to bet against him making it to the NBA.
