The Pistons will also receive Willie Reed and Brice Johnson as part of the deal.
Los Angeles Clippers Trade Blake Griffin to Detroit Pistons
Griffin comes into Detroit (and its new arena) in the first year of his 5-year, $172 million mega-deal. The 28-year-old has played just 33 games this season, averaging 22.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and a career-high 5.4 assists per game on a career-low 44.1 FG%. Griffin will pair with front-court partner Andre Drummond as Detroit zeros in on a playoff run.

As for the Clippers, Bradley and Harris will bolster their wing depth. Bradley is in the final year of his contract, a decision the Clippers will have to make. Bradley was acquired this off-season from Boston in exchange for Marcus Morris.
Harris, on the other hand, has one more year on his deal and is playing the best basketball of his career.

Marjanovic, the 29-year-old Serbian, will slot in as a backup option behind DeAndre Jordan. He’s averaging six points and three rebounds in 19 games this year.
The protections on the Pistons first-round pick are as follows:
Sources: Protections on Detroit's 2018 first-round pick headed to Clippers — 2018: 1-4; 2019: 1-4; 2020: 1-4; 2021: unprotected. Detroit will send a 2019 second-round pick in the trade too.

Johnson and Reed will head East for cap purposes. Reed has played 10 MPG this year in 39 games while Johnson has appeared in just nine games this year. Johnson was LA’s first-round pick in 2016.
The next question is what the Clippers decide to do with Jordan and Lou Williams. The Clippers are pursuing trade options for both as a rebuild looks to be in action in Los Angeles.
