The Series So Far

The Liberty, in pursuit of their first-ever WNBA title, is coming off a heartbreaking Finals loss to the Las Vegas Aces last season. The Lynx, with a storied history of WNBA championships, are looking to return to glory.

Game 1 of the series was a thriller. The Lynx rallied from an early deficit to force overtime and ultimately win 95-93. Courtney Williams was the standout for Minnesota, scoring 23 points and leading her team to victory. The Lynx covered the +6 spread as underdogs, and the game total went over the 160.5 projection.

In Game 2, the Liberty bounced back, maintaining control throughout to grab an 80-66 win. Breanna Stewart led New York with 21 points, while Betnijah Laney-Hamilton added 20 points in a surprise breakout performance. The Liberty covered the -7 spread, and the total went under.

Game 3 was another close one, with the Liberty coming back from a 15-point deficit to win 80-77. Stewart was once again the star, scoring 30 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, while Sabrina Ionescu nailed a game-winning three-pointer in the final seconds. Despite the Lynx’s best efforts, led by Napheesa Collier’s 22 points and nine rebounds, they couldn’t hold off New York’s surge. The game was a push with the Liberty as -3 favorites, and the total went under the 161-point projection.

Game 4 Doesn’t Disappoint

Heading into Game 4, the Liberty were favored by 3.5 points on the road, with the total set at 160.5. The Lynx won the epic clash 82-80. With just two seconds remaining, the Lynx held off the Liberty as Ionescu’s last-second, off-balance three-pointer fell short. The win for the Lynx was behind a balanced effort, with all five starters scoring in double digits. Kayla McBride led with 19 points, while Collier added 14 points, nine rebounds, and four steals, playing a key role in containing Stewart.

WNBA Finals Game 5 Spread

It all comes down to this. Game 5 of the WNBA Finals is set to take place this Sunday, and if it is anything like the first four games, expect an incredible finale. The Lynx are the underdogs for the fifth straight game in this series, with a spread of +5.5. They are +210 to win it all, while the Liberty are -260 to get their first WNBA championship.

The Liberty have been favored to win the series all along. Every time it seems like the trophy is in their grasp, the Lynx have shown that they are not to be underestimated. The Liberty earned home-court advantage for this Game 5. That may be just enough of an advantage to get them the win.
