Other Injury Updates
- Detroit’s Kevin Huerter is questionable for tonight’s Game against Orlando due to a hip injury. According to Jacob Richman of MLive.com, Huerter picked up a left hip injury during Game 3. The Pistons trail the Magic 2-1 in the series.
“Veteran wing Kevin Huerter picked up a left hip injury during Game 3 that now sees him questionable to suit up for an important Game 4 in Orlando Monday night,” Richman said. “Fortunately, Huerter is just listed as having soreness rather than some sort of sprain, but it’s still no certainty he’s ready to go.”
Huerter averages just 2.0 points and 2.0 assists over 13 minutes of action with shooting splits of 28.6/40.0/–.
- The Denver Nuggets could go into Game 5 of their series against the Minnesota Timberwolves shorthanded tonight. The Nuggets trail the Wolves 3-1 and may be without Aaron Gordon. Gordon is listed as questionable for tonight’s contest due to calf tightness. He missed Game 3 because of a calf ailment and played just 23 minutes in Game 4, as he struggled, finishing with 9 points on 4 of 9 shooting and 4 rebounds.
“There was no minutes restriction, but I think everyone saw that Aaron was laboring. So he gave us what he could,” Nuggets coach David Adelman said following Game 4. “I thought it was unfair for me to keep him out there. I felt like he was really laboring in the second half… So we’re going to have to decide what we do for Game 5. I’ll have that conversation tomorrow, not just with the team doctors, but with Aaron himself. What did he feel throughout the game? And have an honest assessment of how he can help us in Game 5.”
Spencer Jones took the place of Gordon in Game 3’s starting lineup. The Nuggets are 23-24 in games that Gordon has not played this year.
