Chicago Sky superstar Angel Reese will be transitioning from the WNBA to Hollywood with a surprise cameo in Kathryn Bigelow’s latest film, A House of Dynamite. The Netflix thriller premiered at the Venice Film Festival this month and divides its story into three parts, with Reese appearing in the most riveting act. At just 23 years old, the Maryland native starred alongside several internationally-acclaimed Hollywood actors and actresses.

Reese appears in the third and final act, sharing the screen with six-time Emmy Award winner Idris Elba, who plays the role of the President of the Unites State of America.
Reese’s scene takes place after the President receives a White House briefing, with his next agenda item marked as an “Angel Reese thing.” At that point, Reese waits to meet him on a basketball court, alongside a group of girls. She shoots hoops with Elba’s character as he explains how sports shaped his life. However, he suddenly stops when an urgent matter arises.

Reese’s official screen debut placed her alongside an impressive ensemble cast. For example, the film stars Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Anthony Ramos, Greta Lee, Tracy Letts, Jared Harris, and Gabriel Basso, among others. In addition, though it was her first movie appearance, it was not the director’s first rodeo. Bigelow, 73, was able to build on her acclaimed work in The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty.
