NBA Bets for November 29, 2023

Orlando Magic guard Joe Ingles (7) leads a team huddle against the Charlotte Hornets in the second quarter at Amway Center.

Last week’s against-the-spread NBA bets went 5-6, with the best bets going 1-2. The picks are at 19-18-1, an exactly 50% win rate for the season. Let’s see if we can build some momentum with today’s seven-game slate.

All the lines are taken from FanDuel.

NBA Bets for November 29, 2023

Washington Wizards @ Orlando Magic: ORL -10  -110

The red-hot Orlando Magic have won seven straight and are playing excellent basketball with one of the best defenses in the league. They will not allow the 3-14 Washington Wizards to end their win streak at home. Orlando’s physicality and intensity should prove too much for Washington.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Detroit Pistons: LAL -7  -110

The Detroit Pistons are miserable, having lost 14 straight, most recently being blown out by the Wizards. They are too young, too inexperienced, and don’t have enough shooting or offensive firepower to score well enough against the Los Angeles Lakers. After suffering the worst loss of the season to the Philadelphia 76ers two days ago, the Lakers should come out guns blazing and right the ship.

Phoenix Suns @ Toronto Raptors: PHX -3  -110

The Toronto Raptors are on the second night of a back-to-back. The Suns not only have a rest advantage but also have won seven straight. Kevin Durant is questionable to play, but Devin Booker should be enough to take care of Toronto.

Utah Jazz @ Memphis Grizzlies: UTA +4.5  -110

This is a good opportunity for the Memphis Grizzlies to get back on track against the 6-11 Jazz, but Memphis being favored by 4.5 is still surprising. They lost each of their last three games by at least 20 points, and Utah has been playing better despite Lauri Markkanen’s absence. It is a tough call, but the Jazz can easily win this game.

Philadelphia 76ers @ New Orleans Pelicans: PHI -2.5  -110

The New Orleans Pelicans are the most up-and-down team in the NBA. They can beat anybody on any given night but also lose easily winnable games. Thus, they are one of the hardest teams to predict. It is, however, hard to see them beating the Sixers. They don’t match up well against Joel Embiid, and Philadelphia is coming into the game with momentum from their 44-point win against the Lakers.

Houston Rockets @ Denver Nuggets: U216.5  -110

Both of these teams are in the bottom five in the NBA in terms of pace. They like to play in half-court through their uber-talented centers Nikola Jokic and Alperen Sengun. The Houston Rockets are hard to score on, and the Denver Nuggets are short-handed due to Jamal Murray’s absence. It projects to be a slow, low-scoring occasion.

Los Angeles Clippers @ Sacramento Kings: SAC +1.5  -110

The Los Angeles Clippers just suffered an embarrassing loss at home to the Reggie Jackson-led Nuggets. Things are still not right in LA as they are working on integrating James Harden. On the other hand, the Sacramento Kings are coming off an impressive comeback win against the Golden State Warriors. They will be on the second night of a back-to-back, but they didn’t travel, and they have one of the best home-court advantages in the league. They should be favored.

Best NBA Bets:

Washington Wizards @ Orlando Magic: ORL -10

Los Angeles Clippers @ Sacramento Kings: SAC +1.5

Philadelphia 76ers @ New Orleans Pelicans: PHI -2.5
