Coast 2 Coast Podcast Episode #24: Final Four Recap, NBA Draft Primer

Austin and Dante hop on the pod, along with Thomas Tittley, for a Final Four recap with mixed emotions as well as turning their attention to the NBA Draft.

On today’s podcast, Austin and Dante are joined again by Thomas Tittley to wrap up the college basketball season. After discussing Austin’s sorrows following the Oregon loss, the three break down the Championship game between UNC and Gonzaga. Following that talk, they look forward to the upcoming NBA Draft. Does Markelle Fultz have competition for the #1 pick? Who is the better prospect, Josh Jackson or Jayson Tatum? Which top-five point guard are both Austin and Thomas both down on?

After considering different draft scenarios for the weak teams of the league, the three speak to possible top 10 picks and who could slide into the top 5. They wrap up by talking about the end-of-game idea by Nick Ealon as seen in an article by Zach Lowe. To no one’s surprise, they agree that the D-League (or Summer League) will end up bearing the brunt of this change following the The Basketball Tournament.
