Game Times Announced For Brewers’ Wild Card Series

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers still don’t know who they’ll play when the National League Wild Card Series gets underway Tuesday at American Family Field, but they at least know when they’ll take the field.

Major League Baseball announced Sunday night that Game 1 of the best-of-three series will get underway at 4:32 p.m. (CDT) Tuesday, with Game 2 scheduled for 6:38 p.m. the following day.

Game 3, if necessary, will get underway at 7:38 p.m. Thursday.

Game Times Announced for Brewers Wild Card Series

The Brewers will host all three games of the series by virtue of winning the NL Central and finishing with the third seed in the six-team field.

They’ll face either the Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, or Arizona Diamondbacks, but won’t learn their opponent until after the Braves and Mets play a doubleheader in Atlanta Monday, to make up two games postponed last week by Hurricane Helene.

If either team sweeps the two games, that team will finish with the second Wild Card spot and open the postseason Tuesday in San Diego against the Padres, while the Brewers would play host to the Diamondbacks — their opponent in last year’s Wild Card series — and the loser would head home.

Should the teams split, Arizona would be eliminated and the Braves would head west to face the Padres while the Mets would return to Milwaukee, where they dropped two of three games over the weekend.

All Wild Card Series games will air on either ABC or ESPN.
