MLB Betting Picks of the Day 9/11

MLB Betting Picks

MLB betting picks just keep on rolling. Even after baseball tried its best to steal the spotlight this weekend it capped off with a great Sunday afternoon of the game itself. The Milwaukee Brewers no-hit the New York Yankees for 10 innings, which included a spectacular grab from Sal Frelick, only to lose on a walk-off Kyle Higashioka. The Atlanta Braves became the first team to clinch a playoff berth with their 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The big movers of the weekend were the Toronto Blue Jays who swept the Kansas City Royals and are separated from the Texas Rangers, who they start a series with tonight, by 1 ½ games in AL the Wild Card.

MLB Betting Picks September 11

TEXAS RANGERS VS. TORONTO BLUE JAYS: BLUE JAYS ML (-148)

Our first pick starts in the aforementioned Blue Jays-Rangers series, which will undoubtedly have big playoff implications. The Blue Jays are 8-2 in their last 10 games, are on a three-game win streak, and sit a game and a half up on the Rangers. Texas sits half a game out of the Wild Card and has been 3-7 in their last 10 games.

On the mound, it will be Dane Dunning vs. Chris Bassitt. Dunning has struggled as of late, he is 1-2 in his last seven starts with a 5.54 ERA in 39 innings and in his one start last year in Toronto, he gave up three runs in five innings. Bassitt has been dealing recently, going 4-2 in his last seven starts with a 3.09 ERA and 40 strikeouts. He is even better at the Rogers Centre, going 7-3 with a 2.80 ERA.

Bo Bichette has gone 5-11, with three home runs, and five RBIs against Dunning in his career and will look to continue his hot hitting from over the last month (.312). Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (.400, 2 RBI) and Dalton Varsho (.500, 1 HR) have all gotten to Dunning in the past. Look for the Blue Jays to hit around Dunning and get to their bullpen which ranks 25th in the majors in ERA (4.89).

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS VS. NEW YORK METS: METS TT o4.5 + ML (+135)

We got and game from MLB betting picks that includes that Arizona Diamondbacks and the New York Mets. For the D’backs, things could be worse. They lost their series at Wrigley to the Chicago Cubs but still sit half-game up in the last Wild Card position. For the Mets, they don’t have much to play for, they sit nine games out of the Wild Card and are 4th in the NL East.

The Mets will send out one of their dominant arms this year in Jose Quintana. Even with a 2-5 record, Quintana has posted a 3.00 ERA in 54 innings with 39 strikeouts.

The Mets have hit the fourth-most home runs in the NL (188) and will look to add to that tonight. Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo, and Daniel Vogelbach have all gone yard off of Davies. Let’s not forget about Polar Bear Pete Alonso, he has 43 long balls this season, only behind Matt Olson’s NL-leading 48 home runs.

CHICAGO CUBS VS. COLORADO ROCKIES: BELLINGER o1.5 TB (-110)

The Chicago Cubs visit the Colorado Rockies for a series which will feature a lot of runs, right? The Cubs have been playing great baseball since the All-Star break and are currently 2nd in the Wild Card. The Rockies have been out of the race for a while and will look to play spoiler from here on out.

The Cubs rank third in the NL in runs with 725 thanks to Cody Bellinger. He is batting .318 with 25 home runs, 89 RBIs, and a .912 OPS. In previous meetings vs. Rockies’ starter Kyle Freeland, he has hit .348 and four RBIs. His career OPS at Coors Field is .928 and he has gone deep seven times.

This season, Freeland has a curveball strikeout rate of 34.6%, and he throws this pitch approximately 19% of the time. Bellinger has hit the off-speed pitches well this season, as his expected batting average (xBA) is an impressive .363. Freeland’s pitches based on their effectiveness in terms of Run Value, his slider stands out as his best pitch. It induces a swing-and-miss about 20% of the time and holds hitters to a .250 batting average. Notably, Bellinger has had considerable success against sliders, slugging at an impressive .642 and maintaining a batting average of .358.

Look for Bellinger’s total bases prop or take the extra juice on his home run prop (+0.5, +450).
