Bo Bichette’s Return Equals Juice for Jays

Since the Toronto Blue Jays lost Bo Bichette to a knee injury, they’ve needed a certain pizzazz offensively. But now, with his return, the Jays offense has woken up. Aside from Bo Bichette’s superb offense and defense, his presence alone has sparked up the clubhouse in more ways than you can think. Bichette returned to the Jays lineup on Saturday evening, and his return couldn’t have come at a better time. Since his return, he has been red hot and hasn’t been quiet at the plate. His return was heavily needed with the Jays inconsistencies with the offense, RISP, and hitting home runs.

Bichette’s Return Sparks Offense

Don’t Fret Bo Bichette Is Back

It is just a great sign for Bo Bichette to be back in the Jays lineup, and he didn’t waste any time picking up where he left off from the game on Saturday night, where he earned a hit and an RBI. Since his return, Bichette has recorded two runs, three hits, two RBIs, and a homer. In the game against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday afternoon, Bo Bichette didn’t delay with his hot bat as he got a triple in the top of the first inning.

Bichette was able to cash in on that triple following an error from Reds shortstop Matt McLain. It is no surprise that Bichette’s return would give the Jays some leverage as he played well during his rehab assignment in AAA Buffalo. He hit .750, recording two hits and a home run. Bo was ready to come back with a bang, and his presence was infectious as the Jays bats woke up, taking away back-to-back games from the Reds. Brandon Belt, due for some action, recorded two homers in the game on Sunday afternoon, and the Jays scored ten runs on 12 hits.

Making History

It is undeniable that Bichette is the Jays hottest hitter as he has earned himself 623 hits through 500 games and which surpasses legendary Roberto Alomar, who recorded 605. When Bo was on the IL, he used his time by assisting with hitting coach duties in the clubhouse. Fans anxiously await his return as the Jays offense has been inconsistent without their star hitter.

Bo Bichette is the type of player that leads by example, and unquestionably, his hitting can be contagious and projected onto his teammates. Bo Bichette has quickly turned into the face of the Blue Jays and has consistently had a batting average of .300 or more, and he joins teammates, Whit Merrifield and Davis Schneider.

Closing Remarks

While the Jays still have a lot of work to do in battling for a wildcard spot, it will surely take the edge off a bit, having their hot hitter Bo Bichette back in the lineup. The Jays hope Bo will continue with his competitive spark and carry on with his hot bat in August. It’s incredible what a difference and impact one player can have on their team, and it makes for a successful series against the Reds, taking away two of three games and winning the series. The Jays will have to face an actual test and will be set to take on the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday, August 22nd.
