The Los Angeles Dodgers fans were loud during Tuesday night’s game versus the Houston Astros. There has not been a Dodgers playoff game in Los Angeles since 2019. But it was not a playoff game. It was a regular-season game. The Astros returned to Chavez Ravine for the third time since they played the Dodgers in the 2017 World Series. The Astros players admitted to stealing signs during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. They would bang on a trash can in their dugout to alert the Astros batter of an incoming fastball. Dodgers fans have not attended a home game versus the Astros since they admitted to stealing signs.

Dodgers Fans Giving It To Houston
Before the game, Dodgers fans were tweeting with a nickname for the Astros: the “Trashtros.” During the game, Dodgers fans were not only loud but halted play four times by throwing trash cans onto the field. Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa were greeted with a playoff-like atmosphere and chants of “cheaters” by Dodgers fans. At other times during the game, there were easily discernable chants of “Astros Suck” reverberating throughout the stadium. The chants and overall atmosphere did not affect Jose Altuve, who went 2-for-4 with a walk. Altuve was picked off of the first base to end the sixth inning, however.
Lance McCullers Jr. also did not seem phased by the loud Dodgers fans and atmosphere. McCullers pitched 6 2/3 innings and struck out nine Dodgers while walking only three and giving up four hits. McCullers did not allow a run during his ninth quality start this season. Carlos Correa did not play as well as Altuve and McCullers. Correa went 0-for-3 with a walk and run scored but also had a throwing error, which the Dodgers could not capitalize upon.
Dodgers Fans Ready For Mad Max
Walker Buehler was excellent again in his effort against the Astros, recording his 19th quality start in 22 starts this season. Buehler struck out five while walking three and giving up five hits across six innings. But the Dodgers lost the game 3-0 and look to rebound Wednesday night with Max Scherzer on the mound for the first time as a Dodger. Scherzer will take on Jake Odorizzi of the Astros in the final game of a two-game series.
