Vote For 2020 MLB All-Star Game Starters

With the latest rumors having the MLB season starting anywhere from May to July, so much uncertainty still hangs in the air. Will there be two divisions or three? Will teams be allowed to travel, or be restricted to their Spring Training states? How many games will actually be played? In all of the current chaos however, there is a big silver lining. It is obvious that MLB is making every effort to have baseball this year. With or without fans in the stands, baseball will be played.

We’ve covered the best baseball books, movies, and games to keep us entertained until real baseball begins again. However, when the season does start back up, it’d be a lot of fun to see the season kick off with the annual MLB All-Star Game.

A Little Bit of History

Should the season begin later rather than sooner, it’s not inconceivable to think that MLB wouldn’t want to go through the effort of actually having an All-Star Game this year. With very little Spring Training and hardly any time for teams to properly evaluate players, the teams themselves may think an All-Star game is unnecessary. However, following the example of the strike-shortened season of 1981, it’s possible that the All-Star Game would be the very first game played as a way to let fans see the most premier players all in one place. In that year, the season was delayed for six weeks from June 12th to July 31st. After the strike ended, the All-Star Game was played on August 9th to begin the second half of the season.

So, let’s vote for the 2020 All-Star Team starters on the chance that this scenario becomes a reality and the All-Star game will be the first baseball we get to see played.
